HENRI PIERRE THEODORE ELISE Mac Gillavry is the Progenitor of the Second Branch (Tweede Tak) of the Indo-Dutch Family Mac Gillavry.

Doopsgezinde (Mennonite) waterdoop (baptism) 28 March 1841 @ age 20 Zwolle; returned to the East Indies with attestation 22 July 1841.
HENRI PThE was a Theology student for a while in Leiden, Netherlands, but was disciplined for not showing proper respect by standing on a big Bible to reach for another book, so he left and went back to the Indies. He received the enterprise 'Gending' as part of his wife's dowry, but lost it to his brothers-in-law à Brakel Reiger and Pietermaat, which led to a long drawn-out feud, especially with the former. He was also owner of the plantation enterprises Terwidi (Sidoredjo), Lerep and Kalidodol near Ungaran.

(Note translated from the Mac Gillavry History: It is easy to see that someone like HENRI (PIERRE THEODORE ELISE) Mac Gillavry had no talent to run a sugar factory efficiently. He therefore lost it very soon to his brothers-in-law à Brakel Reiger and (Daniel Jan Karel) Pietermaat, which led to a feud lasting many years especially with the former. The remainder of the Horst fortune soon disappeared as well, so that there was no chance for his five sons to be able to study (in Holland), although they would have loved to do so. They were certainly intelligent enough as will become clear later.)
